I bought two of the Hello Kitty MP3 players just about two months ago. They work great. Easy to set up and very easy to use. My girls are 11 1/2 and 7. They like the easy to use design, the ability to change the faceplate. They are cute but not babyish. The earbuds that came with it are not that great. My girls use different ones.
I like them because I only spent $29.00 for each!
We download music from cd's, and Amazon as well as other sites. EASY!

Paid about $30 for this at Toys R US. Wanted an MP3 for my little girl, went against my better judgement and got the "Hello Kitty" device instead of a plain one because she likes Hello Kitty. The device would not stay connected to my computer--it was recognized but kept losing connection. Could not load files on it. The enclosed software failed to work with the device--error message said it failed verification. Tried with different batteries, different USB cables. Utter junk... a complete waste of time.

I purchased this Christmas 2009 for my daughter. She's a HK fan, of course, so I thought this would be cute. Well, broken isn't cute. I swapped this out twice before moving on to a different brand.

1) Was not a simple device to load. It decides when it wants to take the info. Several times, It would indicate it had the files only for them to not be there 20min later.

2)The buttons are not very sensitive. You have to push repeatedly and hard to get a response.

3)When the device turns on, the boot up and main screen takes a long time and, sometimes, doesn't want to progress beyond main screen.

3)screen is poor. I felt like I pulled this thing out of the 90's. Remember Nokia phones? Yeah, same display.

4) randomly, it decides to shut down/off. No reason. Even with fresh batteries.

5)speaking of batteries, this sucker made waste of even lithium batteries within a couple of days with light use.

That Christmas, I bought this one and the Lego MP3 for my son. The Lego was the same price and so simple my 2yr old could operate it. It had a colored screen that was easy to read and downloaded easily. It also had an internal battery and could hold a charge for weeks of long use. It made for sad days when one kid's device keeps shutting off while the other worked fine. Ended up returning this for a simple stick style. Only kept for about 2-3wks

I bought this for my almost 6 year old grand daughter for Christmas,she loved it. This is the second one I bought, we purchased one in September for her 8 year old sisters birthday. It was easy enough for me to load with music, and while shes just beginning to read, she can easily scroll and find her favorite Justin Beiber, and Disney songs. She tends to be kind of rough on things, so Im hoping the plastic can take it! So far, so good. The face plates really make this so cute. It came quickly, I was worried I had ordered it too late. I had it sent to me in SC so I could get it pre loaded with music, then sent it to MI for Christmas. I think its kind of expensive, and I certainly could have gotten one cheaper, but knew Id be paying more for the Hell Kitty detailing.

Bought this for my daughter who loves Hello Kitty. Setup went fine and the software worked like it should. She's very happy with it and we haven't had any problems.
