I disagree with other review low rating.
Manufacturer of this cord cannot be held responsible for the IPOD case you picked out. These reviews, and star ratings, are to be based on Product Item itself. This product does fit the IPOD touch, and performs its charging duties well.
This USB IPOD charger cord is a wonderful product and is very convenient for me to use. Instead of having to find wall outlets behind desks or couches. I can easily sit down in front of my computer and plug the IPOD charger in right in front of me.

Was looking for an alternative to the original apple data cord and this is it. Its exactly like the apple data cable works perfectly great build quality at a fraction of the price. I plan on buying more just to keep back i lose them often.

These USB cables are exactly like the one supplied with my Itouch. They even look like they are from the same source that Apple uses since the wrappings are identical. Very happy with this item.

Looks like and works like an OEM replacement, its a little tighter than my old one at the ipod connection. No problems so far.

I purchased this item 1 year ago in April 2011 and it broke on me after a month of use. I recently came across this item in my junk drawer which reminded me to fill out a review for my purchase.
The plug end that goes into the iPod separated from the cable, exposing the wires and breaking off the solder leads to the plug. I really don't believe I was being rough with it at all; only used it at my computer desk. This cable is also extremely thin.
Alternately, the cable that came with the Belkin F8Z446 Micro Auto Charger with Charge Sync Cable for iPhone and iPod has been excellent, is hefty, and will take a beating in the hot car. Of course it cost more.
