The one I got came in cheap-looking packaging (well duh, look at the price) and had no instructions in English.
Upon peeling off the "mask" layer I got a bit confused at first, as I didn't know which one was supposed to be the film (hint; it's the middle one, as the mask layers on either side are there to keep it from sticking).
Just put it on and it fit decently. It takes a bit of work to get it relatively bubble-free, but so far it looks way better than it did before (I had left the protective film that came with the iPod Touch on it).
Does what it says, and for the price it's pretty good.

Doesnt cover the entire surface, mostly exposed at the bottom by a few mm. However I have a separate cover that covers it so it somewhat makes up for it. Smooth cover allows you to guide your finger easily along the covered surface. Got it for the price of $0.01

I wished that this came with application instructions. When I applied it, it looked great. It was on about 99% straight. But when I put the protective cover (rubbery case that fits around the back and sides) it would snag the shield and it would then peel off. I tried multiple times, but I think that after you apply it the first time, you shouldn't mess with it. I ended up having to ditch it and am looking for another brand. I wonder if it came with instructions I could have had a better fit to start with.

I ordered these because I had purchased one of the 20$ and totally messed it up. I decided I wasn't spending that much on any more of these things. When I got it, it was easy to apply and is working great. :) Thanks.

The picture is misleading. The cutout for the home button is n-shaped not circular, leaving some part of the screen below exposed and the film isn't quite big enough to cover the entire black surface.
