Honesty, you would think Apple would have released this item themselves. I completely understand the issue with the charging pins moving from firewire to USB, but I would consider they want their expensive legacy equipment such as the HiFi to be compatible with current technology. This is a simple fix and I have my $300 speaker system charging my phone again. THANKS SCOSCHE!

Boy, I wish I was one of the ones giving it 5 stars, but it didn't fit ANY of my accessories! I got this adapter to charge a new itouch. It didn't fit either of my original Apple ipod cradles, my Kensington after market cradle or my Altec Lansing portable speakers. It was too big for ALL of them. I even emailed the company ahead of time to make sure it would fit my speakers (I assumed it would fit my cradles) and they said it would. Not so much.

This was advertised specifically for bose speakers which I have (and it says so on the packaging too).Seems like from other reviews that it doesn't work with other speakers, so you might want to make sure you have Bose ones. The adapter fits perfect, and I am able to listen to the ipod now while also charging my Ipod, which is great! I have had no problems yet, and I think it's great for my new ipod. It does sit a little funny because it sticks out so much that it feels a little wobbly. So I just made sure I have my speakers in the corner on a sturdy table so that I don't knock it over. Overall, works as advertised and works with the new Ipod touch with Bose Speakers =)
