Outstanding iPod Touch 2G case Oct 15, 2009
By Mr. Walker I did a lot of searching for a good case/cover for my iPod Touch 2G. I hate the silicone, too stretchy and sticky, gets lint on, etc. The iPod by itself is very thin and scratches easily. Did some looking, tried this out.
Have been using since Feb. 2009, the color is not as rich/bold as when I started, but still looks decent. The case has a smooth, velvety/rubbery feel, easy to grip, looks sharp. I have the dark red/black, considering getting a deep blue/black too. It is in two halves, with a soft interior, which you have to wiggle/snap together. You can remove the case periodically to clean/dust the iPod if you want. You can easily access power, volume, port, and headphone jack. I had to take an X-acto knife to shave the port opening a touch bigger so the Griffin iTrip charger/transmitter would fit it better.
Be sure to pick the CORRECT case: they also make one for the iPhone, that one has the camera hole and is a little thicker since the Phone is thicker. I have the iPod touch, so just pick the right one (friendly reminder).
The case offers protection on the edges, keeps iPod from getting dinged up. I'd also recommend the "glare free" screen protector from the Apple store, it is smoother and hides fingerprints. Overall, this is just a great case, protects well, and looks very cool. Actually with the red/black it reminds me of a Star Trek Next Generation uniform theme, but that is a different topic.
One last note: I also wanted a nice belt clip case for it, but with the iFrogz cover, it won't fit a case sized for the iPod Touch. I went to "Axxess Wireless" eBay store, they have holster leather cases with flat belt clip, magnetic closure, it sits upright (i.e., vertical orientation), for Blackberry Bold (yes, this is the correct size, I measured so the iPod with cover fits). And this belt case, black leather, for Blackberry Bold, is only $10. I bought two of them. And I use it daily, form and function both.
UPDATE: regarding comments about the difficulty in applying and removing this case (or the other colors): yes, it does fit tightly. If you use the glare-free screen protector from the Apple store, it will have a small gap around the edge so it won't bubble up with this case. The best way to get it off is to turn to the back side, use your fingernail to lift up the circle area from the low side (the part that locks the case together), then wiggle the case halves apart. If you don't lift up the circle part, it will be VERY difficult (if even possible?) to get the halves apart without damage or making you very frustrated.

the best case ever Dec 06, 2009
By R. Mangalick About a week after a got my iPod Touch in April-ish, there were a good number of scratches and an especially big one about the size of my thumb running along the back of the iPod. Thank god the screen was okay, but I knew that I'd need a case. The day I got that thumb-sized scratch, I bought a cheap silicone case to fit my needs for the time being..and three more.
The cases were probably fine, but I abuse my iPod. Its a miracle its lasted this long. By the time I got this case, my last of the silicone ones (all four different, i spent about a week looking into 3 of them for customer satisfaction reviews and they all looked decent) was torn in two with little rubber slivers scattering my room. This was over the period of a month, and I decided that if I wasn't going to waste my money, that I was to get a hard shell case.
Quick rundown: there are two types of cases, hard shell and silicone. there are ones with both, but those suck.
I looked into various cases for a month and a half before I found this lifesaver case. Let me say that it's the prettiest thing you'll have ever laid eyes on. It's sleek, matte (the opposite of shiny, which I like a LOT more..an example of matte would be the Nintendo DSi), and just plain awesome. The case is two parts that slide onto the iPod and snap into place. If you want to take it off, theres a little button (that adds to the sexiness of the case)that you push and it'll slide back out like a charm.
On the inside, there are little velvety pads that the iPod rests on so that it doesnt move around inside the case, and they double as a sorta shock absorber when you drop your iPod. After a month of using the case (like I said, I completely ABUSE it), the little piece of plastic at the bottom in front of the charging usb plug broke off. two weeks later, the part next two the volume control. As a whole, it still works beautifully, but its not as pretty as it once was (as Shakespeare said, "And every fair from fair sometime declines")
I've had this case for about six months now, and other than those little plastic parts coming off, the only real issue has been the paint coming away. It starts out with it's beautiful matte, then that rubs of into shiny, and then that becomes a gray-silver that must have been the original case without any paint.
whatever, im not complaining. better than a new case every week :)

Great product! Feb 22, 2010
By Marge W I've been researching and shopping for Ipod Touch 3G cases for a few months. This is the first one I have purchased and I am so glad I waited. This is the perfect case at a great price! This price beats even those in discount department stores (and I've checked quite a few.) The feel of the case is velvety smooth (very unique) and it's quite sturdy. It also comes with a screen protector (perfect!) I received the case within 4 days of placing the order. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase!

The Best iPod Touch Case, Period. Dec 28, 2009
By David Cherry
"Love Chicago (the manual)"
This is my second iFrogz Luxe case. Just as the blue one has an out of the ordinary blue color, this one has an uncommon shade of red/burnt umber and has the look and feel of crushed velvet. Imagine slightly rubbery velvet. The fit is perfect, as if designed by Apple themselves. Ports for button access are perfectly aligned and the two halves of the case mate and lock perfectly. To boot, it is durable in everyday use without any preferential treatment; I routinely carry mine in my front jeans pocket with change and keys and it shows no scratches or signs of wear. I've had my blue one for months and my red one for a few weeks but they resemble each other in newness. I couldn't recommend them highly enough; they will exceed your expectations.
One and only one con: though your apple syncing plug will fit right through the case's cutout without interference, the FM adapter in my car requires that I remove the bottom of the case. the plug is too wide for the case's cut-out. This has been an annoying bit of pre-flight at times, but overall a small price to pay for what I think are the nicest cases on the market.

iFrogz Luxe case Feb 01, 2010
By Richard Waring This is one of the best hard cases I have used. It fits onto the itouch with ease and comes off just as easy. It has a rubbery feel to it and all the buttons are easy to push. It doesn't have alot of bulkiness to it ether.
